Sometimes you stay at an AirBNB and you feel compelled to give a 5 star rating because nothing was "wrong". This property was such a standout, deserving of 5 stars in every single way! Linda provided very thorough directions and tips ahead of time, including discounts for local activities. I LOVED the property - so modern and comfortable and the first place I stayed in on my 2 week trip to NZ with my mom that I wanted to skip dinner in a restaurant just to hang around in. The couch and beds are extremely comfortable, and small things like having Netflix and water in the fridge went such a long way with us. I can't wait to come back - and if you're headed to Taupo this is the place! Also - did I mention convenient location to town and private garage parking??? Thank you, Linda!
Excellent place to stay! Over the years, I have stayed at numerous "top end" holiday apartments in New Zealand. In my experience, some flatter to deceive and do not justify their premium descriptions nor prices. This is certainly NOT the case with Riverside Apartment Taupo So, my overall comment is that the reality was even better than the description! In terms of location, the riverside setting is fabulous: tranquil and very much "by the lake" - the quintessentially key attraction of Taupo. Yet the apartment is just a 4 or 5 minute walk into the very centre of town, which makes access to amentities such as restaurants very straightforward. The apartment itself has a great feel to it: layout, facilities and views all work to make this feel like a superb location for a "top-end" holiday. I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday home in Taupo.
This place has so much to offer. Convenient location, easy check-in, nice river view. The host has superb communications making sure we feel welcomed and informed with our stay. Very very clean and tidy spacious appartment. Things we particularly liked travelling with a two year old toddler: - very warm and cosy place with electric blankets, underfloor heating and aircon - baby gear available, safety gate, booster set for dining table and portable cot - a river with black swan and ducks birds to keep the little one entertained - very firm and comfortable beds (very good night sleep) - super smooth high-quality linen.
What a fantastic apartment, what a fantastic view and what a fantastic location. The apartment had everything we needed, everything worked and it was sparkling clean. We were in holiday mode as soon as we stepped through the door. Linda and Greg were superb hosts and their dinner recommendation for a special birthday treat was a winner. Thank you and we hope to be back.

Amazing spot! Incredible view of the river out of the entire side of the condo, master bedroom, living room and diningroom all have one wall that's entirely window. Located within 3 mins of the grocery store and 5 of piles of restaurants and shops. Stay with confidence, it was truly lovely.
I cannot say enough about this accommodation, from the beginning to the end of our stay we received first class service, and that was just from Greg. We rented the 3 bedroom apartment for 3 nights. This is what stood out for our family. Good value, modern, clean, close to city (5 min walk), well appointed, enough room for everyone, having the laundry and garage facilities downstairs, beautiful views over river and beyond and apartment equipped with everything we needed. This place is stunning, very true to the pictures and an amazing outlook over the river. Everything was clean and very easy communication with host. We so enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
Lovely apartment in a gorgeous location. Directly on the river as described and only a short walk to shops and restaurants. We found the apartment to be extremely clean and every detail attended to, right down to a guest manual and helpful labels on the light switches! We were a couple staying with our toddler and another family member and there was plenty of room for all. Linda was very responsive regarding organising the gear we needed for our little one (they had it all). We would stay again in the future.
Excellent location and gorgeous views of the river. Really clean and perfect for two families of four (kids sharing the bunk room). Kitchen clean and well equipped, Wifi and Netflix great. Canoes and lifejackets perfect for the kids. Would highly recommend Linda's place!
The apartment exceeded our expectations. We chose it for location as its a couple of minutes walk to the town centre and the views of the river, you cant beat it. The bathrooms are modern with underfloor heating and we found the beds very comfortable. The apartment was very clean with information and instructions where you need them. Linda was a pleasure to communicate with, always willing to help if needed.
Absolutely magnificent! Having stayed in AirBnB's around the world, this is among the best AirBnB values. Lovely views, fully equipped, and extremely comfortable. Clean, clean, clean. The garage is large and is a nice bonus.
We loved our stay with Greg and Linda. Everything was so well set up, they had anticipated every need. The apartment is great, stylish and warm with a gorgeous view. This was my first time visiting Taupo. The apartment is very generously appointed and has all the modern conveniences that you could expect from your "home away from home". Linda was generous in allowing to check in earlier as we traveled from Wellington and Auckland. There was no doubt as to how things worked, because there was a handbook detailing every aspect to make our stay enjoyable. It is centrally located with just a short walk to the restaurants and bars. Linda sent a message when we arrived to make sure that everything was in order. A really great place and I will definitely stay there again when in Taupo. The apartment is modern, stylish and caters for your every need.
You won't be disappointed by this apartment. It's very convenient to town, amazing view and good facilities. Although there are alot of apartments in the complex it is a well managed and quiet location. Greg responded quickly to any questions and accomodated our special requests. We were a family group of 6 adults. The kitchen has all the equipment/appliances you need and a few basics (salt/pepper/oil) in the cupboard. Everything very clean, tidy and well presented.

What a beautiful apartment, great views across the river and lots of room for the 8 of us. Stocked with all the mod cons, including fast wifi to make our stay even more enjoyable. In easy reach of Taupo, which is a fantastic town with great walks, restaurants and a great destination for families with children with any age. Linda was really good at getting in touch and giving directions and all the details we needed for a great stay.
Fantastic apartment - great location... handy to town and the supermarket. Awesome having the heated pool (very useful after Ironman!). Great views and very lovely owners :)

Elegant and tastefully decorated apartment with mesmerizing river view at excellent location close to Taupo. Very safe neighborhood and well managed property. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms;and well designed kitchen layout with full specification kitchen appliance. Water pressure is strong and drainage are well maintained. Overall this property is one of the best airbnb we have stayed in. And of course Linda responds expeditiously to all questions before and during our stay. She is truelly a super host!
Great apartment beautifully presented in a great location, walking distance to town and the riverside location is ideal. Exactly as presented on AirBnB, and just the kind of place we needed to land and chill for 5 days while we explored the area. I took one of the kayaks out one day, which was great fun and a bonus, as I hadn't remembered that from the ad... ...I'd have no hesitation recommnding the place to others. Thanks from both of us.
This a great unit just a cross the bridge from town and with an amazing view over the river. Very clean and spacious.
Our stay on Taupo was made perfect by this wonderful apartment on the river. Our family of four had plenty of space and privacy. Great wifi and fully stocked with everything you need in the kitchen wrt appliances. Great location/ we walked to town for dinner on our first night. Very secure as well. The entire complex is clean and beds were super comfortable. Will definitely come back to riverside apartment!
Beautiful accommodation directly adjacent to Lake Taupo with the Waikato river flowing past the window. Linda is a great host.
